Vision, Mission & Goals for 2008

Personal Vision
My purpose for living is to disciple others into a saving relationship with Christ.

Personal Mission
My mission in life is to provide opportunities for people to fulfill their destinies in the Lord.

Personal Goals for 2008

1. Experience personal growth through prayer in my life. I am asking God in 2008 to continue to move me from a life blessed by prayer to a life driven by prayer.

2. Spend a minimum of ˝ hour of personal time studying the Bible each day to experience an increase in my intimacy with God.

3. Spend at least 3 hours of quality time with my family each day. Take my children out individually at least once a month for “dad time” and enjoy family activities according to my family’s interests and not my own.

4. Take my family on at least three ministry trips that will impact their lives. Expose my wife and children to new settings, cultures and traditions different from our own. I ask God to enrich my family’s appreciation for the power of diversity through real, measurable ministry experiences.

5. Exercise for 1/2 hour each day. Maintain a consistent habit of exercise that strengthens my cardio-vascular health, keeps my weight in a healthy range, and provides avenues for me to manage stress, so that I can maintain my physical and emotional stability.

6. Write two book manuscripts and have them ready to submit in Spanish & English. Write 5 articles and columns for publication in church magazines.

7. Demonstrate both privately and publicly that my life is driven by an absolute passion to experience Jesus in my own life and the lives of others. This means that God has called me to meet human needs, bring comfort to the broken hearted, cast a vision of salvation and call people to the foot of the cross of Christ.

8. Bring ten (10) people to Christ through personal witness outside of my public evangelism ministry in large venues. I must always experience the joy of conversion in the eyes of a soul in the closeness of their kitchen table in their own home.

North American Division Office of Volunteer Ministries

1. Further strengthen the new Office of Volunteer Ministries as a more integrated volunteer management mechanism for the North American Division.

2. Implement the new policies governing North American Division short-term groups and long-term mission service.

3. Implement the new HisHands initiative in North America, calling on local churches to sponsor a missionary or receive a missionary for one year.

4. Empower the NAD Volunteer Ministries staff to accomplish their professional and Spiritual potentials in leadership. I want the field to be blessed because my staff is blessed.

Millennium Ministries Church Congregation

1. Be a loving pastor who models discipleship humility and hold my congregation and its leaders accountable through specific goals and plans for ministry to the Silver Spring area.

2. Strengthen a leadership mechanism in which all church leaders demonstrate discipleship through a servant model that trains and mentors new leaders.

3. Visit church members through a consistent pastoral visitation plan.

4. Train preachers in the congregation to build stronger worship ministry.
